Goodwill Diagnostic Centre is the top Bera Test centre.BERA Hearing Test is a neurophysiological method for evaluating the hearing threshold and diagnosing retro-cochlear lessons in children with hearing loss and delayed speech. It is also known as Auditory Brain Stem Response or ABR audiometry or BAER or Brainstem auditory evoked response audiometry. Bera is an objective way of creating brain stem potentials in response to audiological stimuli, most notably click stimuli. Electrodes placed on the scalp assist in the recording of these potentials. BERA is an effective screening method for cases of hearing loss caused by retro cochlear pathology, such as acoustic schwannoma. An MRI scan may be recommended if the BERA is abnormal. To determine the site of the lesion and arrange management accordingly, the BERA test should be supplemented with additional audiological test batteries.
